HERSHEY STADIUM 7 - Aerial view, starting with the stadium on the right middle of the photo and going clockwise to the arena, baseball field, Spring Creek with the fountain in it, the Hershey Park, Park Boulevard with the tops of the creamery and the ballroom, swimming pool, the Park Golf Club and the golf course - the road along the arena, past the pool and the golf course is Derry Road - the road with the line of trees by the stadium is Park Boulevard again, which led to the HIS Senior Hall and the Hotel Hershey - the group of buildings near the top of the photo, just left of the tree lined road is the site of the round barn, which burned down in the 1940's - it was one of the HIS units and the house and some farm buildings were still there; 8 - Aerial view shows the Stadium with a large crowd in the stands - also on the photo is a baseball field and football practice field - it is here that the Philadephia Eagles professional football team held their spring training - at the lower left corner next to the parked cars are the Parkside Apartments - In the distance is the HIS Senior Hall with the "Welcome to Hershey" sign on the hillside - The tree lined Park Boulevard is to the left, leading across Airport Road (today it is Hershey Park Drive), and continuing to H.I.S Senior Hall - The runway for the airport is the open area in front of the "Welcome to Hershey" sign; |
