FIRST MEN'S CLUB - in the old Cocoa House. 6 - Front of Men's Club from Chocolate Avenue with old car in front - building was originally the Cocoa House, then the YMCA and then the Men's Club and restaurant, and later converted to Women's Club - These photos have signs on building saying "Men's Club" - however, it appears as though the gym and pool behind the building were not added yet - it may be the angle from where the photo was taken, and can not be seen on this photo, since the addition was there when it was called the YMCA - also on this photo is the top of the railroad station on the left side of photo and the entrance onto Chocolate Avenue from Cocoa Avenue - if you look carefully you can see the YWCA through the tree on the left side of the photo; |
