HERSHEY DAIRY / CREAMERY Dairy & Creamery were used interchangibly when speaking of this building. The building was built in 1929, closed on July 7, 1971, and razed in November of 1981. 37,38 - Taken inside the Hershey Creamery. Behind the young lady is the tile work that was saved when the building was demolished and was on display in Chocolate World. At a later time it was relocated to The Museum Shop in The Hershey Story; The young woman is dressed in a special costume - looking like a "Dairy Queen" perhaps for some type of promotion for Hershey Products; 39,40 - It appears to be the same young lady behind the counter serving customers in the Creamery; |
